Jayco Redhawk 24B Soundstream malfunction

Hello All, new to the Forum:

This is a weird thing that happened today. Our motorhome is brand new and my husband was hooking up the boat to make sure everything worked. The soundstream unit switched to No Signal. The back up camera will come on but the unit wouldn't turn off or on. The buttons on the left side changed color. What has us baffled is if you turn the TV on and put on AV you see the radio on the tv but not the soundsystem. I did a reset on the unit and you can hear something inside like it is trying to spin a dvd, nothing inside. I'm sure it is something stupid we are not thinking about.

There is a tiny pin sized hole in the upper left corner. I used a tooth pick and it shut it down but then turned right back on with the Camera up. It has us baffled.

I've been tempted several times to shoot mine and put it out of its misery. But, as I have other things that take priority over replacing the dang thing, I've gotten smarter and just use the remote as it seems to at least make it a bit more tolerable. I gave up on the back up camera feature, as it has a mind of its own. Thinking of getting one that hooks onto the rear view mirror, as its almost intuitive to look there when backing up.

Ok, cool. If you can still see the screen in aux, can you get to the settings?

Tap it. It’s looking for the maps. It should be a one time deal.

Has it ever worked? Is there a mircoSD card in the top right corner slot?

I'd turn every off, including main power, and try resetting that card. It's spring loaded- don't let it fly out.

I’d reach out to your dealer or Jayco. Sounds like you did your due diligence.
