We just picked one up 2 weeks ago. Havent had a chance to use it yet but what we saw in other brands I think we will like this one. Had a 2011 Holiday Rambler with no real problems just couldn't handle the corner bed anymore. Put 300 miles on the Chevy and I like that better than the Ford already. Wish I could help you out more but looks like a couple more weeks at least before we will be camping

I too have a corner bed model. Though I agree its not ideal getting in/out, it sure beats a sleeping bag on the ground ! Everything in a RV is a compromise !!!

I too am a fan of the Chevy chassis.

Yes I just bought a Redhawk 29xk and glad I did. Have not used it yet due to winter weather.

So far, good

Our only regret is that it's a bit too big for our needs, since the Grandsons outgrew the desire to go RV-ing...which is why we got the 31xl with bunk beds. The bunks are good for storage though, so all is not lost.

I just picked up a 2018 Model 29XK myself, less than a week ago. I'm still trying to figure out where the water filter is. Any ideas?

Ours in under the kitchen sink, on the left side of the cabinet.

The 2018 Redhawk 29xk is outside not under sink. That is one of the few differences between the models.

Got the same model, it's behind your utility center in the rear storage compartment. There is a panel with 4 screws right behind the utility center.

Redhawk 29XK filter location

The 2018 Redhawk 29XK has a rear basement storage compartment the size of a small condominium. The water filter is accessed via the driver's side storage access panel, and is located behind a removable wall panel, just behind the wet bay. That's also where the water pump is located. I should have taken a photo, but I forgot.

It was the phrase "utility center" that had me confused. To me the word "utility" means electricity, so I looked under the bed first, even though it didn't make sense to put water and electricity together in the same compartment. I did find it though, thank you!

We bought our 2017 29xk in August of 2016 and have really enjoyed it. I’ve done a lot of suspension upgrades, replaced the sofa with a reclining sofa, added a 2nd AC unit, and many other minor tweaks. So far, it’s never been back to the dealer. What few little issues we’ve had have been simple driveway fixes. I’d buy it again.

Did you put the 2nd a/c on a separate circuit? I didn't think redhawks have the 2-11k a/c units option, so I was wondering if you switched both out to 11k units or just added another 15k unit.

I installed a 13.5k power saver model on a second circuit. It’s wired in a way that I can run it off shore power or generator power (manually changing between the two). Being a power saver model, I can run it plus the 15k AC at the same time off generator power if needed. Granted, you won’t run much else, but it will work.

That's awesome! I have been researching for months, mainly looking at the Greyhawks. I got a chance to see a local Redhawk 29XK and really liked it. Then I called about one in Iowa from RVOne and they offered me a great deal on it. I am glad to hear that you can add a 2nd a/c on a Redhawk as this was what I liked about the Greyhawk. I think I will pull the trigger tomorrow on this Redhawk. Thanks for the response and I might ask you how you ran the wiring once I receive it if you don't mind.
