Jayco tank problems

I am looking for either construction prints or how to access the fresh water tank sensors on a 2001 Jayco Eagle 2830G class c motorhome. Jayco said they do not keep prints that old.

Not much needed in the way of documentation for this. You simply will have some sensors punched through the side of the tank with wires that go back to the display panel. The "sensors" are really nothing more than a bolt through the side of the tank.

When you get fed up with the stock sensors consider the SeeLevel II system. Many have installed this and we just love it. Gone are the days of sensor problems because the new sensors are mounted on the OUTSIDE of the tank.

Thanks Jim but the real issue is I have a leak possibly where the line goes into the tank or a seam may have cracked. I started to trace the sensors wires but they disappear into the side of the kitchen wall. I bought a Lizard cam to poke around but it is useless.

My previous experience with both a 2001 and 2008 JAYCO MH there is normally an access panel that will allow you to get to the sensor wires. If the tank is over the axle there is probably a removable sheet metal panel behind the duals.

You would think so. The bellypan runs from the doghouse to back bumper with no breaks . I thought I thought I could follow the sensors back. There was an access panel behind the generator.I pulled it loose and the bottom side of my in floor duct work for the furnace was only thing there.Being under house arrest for a year for the virus I'm about to go stir crazy. I will fix it one way or another. Thanks again for your reply

Problem solved. There are two access panels. Both required the removal of both back wheels. The one on passenger side is for the tank drain. I found the tank drain fitting cracked. That was causing the fresh water tank not to fill and leak water back on top of the gray water tank. The other was access to tank sensors. While in there I replace sensor. Thanks to all for input.

Thank you Jim for this tip, been looking for an upgrade/solution to the malfunctioning tank sensors, excited to give this a try!
