Jayco's Warranty Forever

Fixing to buy a motorhome and needing advice on whether we should get the Warranty Forever Plan. Is it worth spending the money for it every year?
Thanks Dada

There's a local dealer here that advertises the same thing for every RV they sell and their fine print includes verbiage such as "all work must be performed by the dealer including regular service".

I would worry about "ALL WORK MUST BE PERFORMED BY THE DEALER"
Sounds to me like gotcha to get your money.

The dealer says that any certified rv mechanic that does warranty work can work on the rv. That includes a private rv mechanic. We will be 100 percent certain before we get it. Thanks a lot.

Also ask about yearly inspections and repairs required to be done by the dealer themselves to keep it in force. Most require that. AND make sure you get whatever is promised IN WRITING!!!

I'd clarify what do they actually mean by the RV? Most of the time the warranty is only good on the house aspect and not on the chassis. I would hate to have to take it to the RV dealer, only knowing that freightliner/ford or someone like that ultimately needs to do the work. Do they have to do all oil changes and other standard chassis maint too? If its just house warranty, and all they require is that the house is serviced by the dealer, but the chassis can be brought directly to ford or oil changed in your driveway, then this might not be a bad deal depending on cost.

All new RVs from our dealer come with this Warranty Forever.

It is rolled into the cost and is not a separate line item that can be deducted. This covers many of the components of the house: A/C, water pump, LP furnace, inverter, converter, etc. Does not cover the Bigfoot levelers, slide or Ford chassis components. Any RV dealer or mobile RV service company can make repairs under this plan. Does not have to be our dealer in Raleigh.

We’ve not made a claim yet, which is a good thing in my book. If we do, there is no deductible. There is an annual 30-minute inspection. Although some dealers charge for that, ours does not.
