Jensen JRV 9000 will not power up!!!

Tried to switch on the in dash radio (Jensen JRV9000) on my 2018 Jayco Redhawk 22J and it wont just power up. Traced the fuse in the MH power center and verified it was good. Checked the fuses under the dash on driver side and they too were fine. Tried the SOFT and HARD RESET buttons on the radio unit but no avail. No power to the radio unit. Any idea where else I can look for the cause of this issue? I usually sue the unit for music and to watch movies as the sound on the TV is horrible. Please help!!!

From the operations guide, I know you've said you tried these things but this was all I could find too.

Is this from factory? Do you know if they used a wiring harness?

Perhaps there's a loose connection in the wiring harness.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Troubleshooting Problem Cause Corrective Action

GENERAL
Unit will not power on:

Radio Fuse open > Install new fuse with correct rating

Car battery fuse open > Install new fuse with correct rating

Illegal operation > Press the RESET button located in the middle of the left side of the front panel

Does the display backlight come on and just show a black screen? or not backlight at all?

this question will point in two different directions.

There is no display backlight at all. Hence the first thought was to check the fuses. All fuses were fine. Now I have to figure out why the stereo unit is not getting power.

The stereo was factory installed. It worked for the camping season last year and then was in storage for winter. I was getting it ready for my first camping this year and found out that the stereo had a blank screen.

Not sure if yours is the same - but the Ford Factory radio fuse spots were not used in our Greyhawk. Jayco went out of their way to use new fuse sockets.

You may have to pull the head unit and check to see if you're getting power with a voltmeter.

Emailed ASA Electronics, the makers of the stereo. They advised me to check the fuse in the back of the stereo after pulling it out from the dash board. But since my MH is still under warranty, the RV service center or Ford service has to do it. Have an appt with Ford this Friday to get it checked, hoping that it us just the fuse. If the unit us found defective, ASA will send a replacement.

Hello, did you go to Ford today? What was the outcome of your visit?

Went to Ford dealership yesterday. The technician verified the fuses, pulled the stereo out , there were no fuses in the back. He verified that there was power coming from the truck to the radio but there is something messed up within the radio thats why it is not powering up.

The stereo mamufacturers -ASA Electronics, have offered to exchange the unit. Working with Jayco dealer now to get it fixed as my RV is still under Jayco warranty.

That's good news, I hope you get a new in box unit installed and working correctly.

Radio unit replaced!

Got the radio unit relplaced with a new unit from Jayco. They could not figure out what caused the radio to die, maybe a manufacturing defect? Hopefully this new unit will last for a long time.🤞🤞🤞

Our JVR9000 also was acting up, would not power up at times and would lock up. Had to have it replace, good thing it was under warranty at the time.
