Jon-Luc

Hello
I have a 2019 Jayco grayhawk29mv class c
motor home. My bathroom door has small plastic
and metal device mounted on top outside of the
door that holds the door open when you want
privacy between the bath/shower area and the
kitchen/ living room area.. This small part broke off
from the bathroom door. Jayco parts can't find it
and has turned it over to research department. Any
Ideas how to get this 50 cent part?

Could you make something like this work? Lots of options in the "related products" section...

Thanks camper Bob. I checked out Amazon information that you sent me. It might work. I will
try to send you a picture òf the door and how Jayco
installed this plastic/metal part. Jayco is still using
this on the 2024 grayhawk29mv motor home, I think
you helped me In the past when I had 3 scamps

It's probably the same as mine. Just a bracket that sticks out from the cabinet, with a little plunger on the door. Rubber piece on door slides into rubber grommet on the bracket. The family has been trained to be careful with that because it is quite fragile IMO.

Something a little like this, but with the receiver end on a small bracket because there's no flat place to mount it where the piece on the door will go into it:

I'm just going off memory, camper is in storage.

I do remember having the dealer fix it during my PDI because it wasn't lined up right. Dealer just put a small shim behind the wall-mounted bracket so it would line up with the plunger on the door.
