Just got my 2024 Greyhawk 30Z

Traded in my FW and now spending the first three days in our new 30Z. Did a five hour PDI and had several things fixed. I will post later stuff I found. Been learning all the new stuff but cannot get my satellite to work.
For those who have a Dish wind guard how are u hooking it up? Walley box to TV works, but from walley to satellite no go. Direct cable from satellite to walley no problem. I have tried the winguard connector and the other two connectors that say roof satellite 1 or 2. Nothing works. Am I missing something or is the cable hook where the power cord is located not connected. The campground has no cable so I am hooking the satellite to that cable connection so can only check it with my satellite.?

Congrats on the new "C" Rock. I'm fond of that floor plan myself, nothing super heavy in the slides, and no slide to encroach under the awning. Enjoy!

That cable connection goes through the ant amp and satellite signals normally don't get through. The ones marked roof are prewire for the roof mounted dish if installed.

Ya the floor plan is great. Sitting in the electric recliner watching antenna TV and watching the fireplace. Just like our FW but smaller ( gotta get use to that.

Grumpy,
So unlike my FW I cannot run my portable satellite to the MH thru that outside connector. So my options are to either hard mount my satellite to the roof ( 30Z has no ladder) or i would run a roof cable down the ladder. Or run cable under the slide seal to my walley. Gotta be another way.

You could try an A/B switch in the area of the ant amp. It will probably take a little engineering and a couple short coax jumpers, but should be doable.

Line from the outside to the input of the switch then one output to the antenna amp and the other output available for your sat. Switch back and forth as needed. At least that would be my approach. Be sure you buy a good A/B switch.

Grumpy,
This new Winguard I bet is different than the old amp. As soon as I get back I will call them and see what they have to say. Since the park has no cable I cannot even be sure the outside connector is even connected. You would think Jayco would have ran another run for satellite. I still have no clue why under the TV are two connectors saying roof satellite 1 and 2. I will be going up on roof when I get home to see what that is about. I bought a collapsible ladder but it’s at home. Only could fit so much stuff in the jeep getting the MH.

I had the same issue trying to get my wineguard to work on my 23 greyhawk 30z. The easiest solution for me was to use the cable hook up in the storage compartment on the passenger side. . I pulled the cover in the storage compartment to see the color of the cable. I then went inside and pulled the cable hook up behind the tv to locate the same color cable. I then unhooked the cable from the plate, drilled a hole and hooked the cable to the wally. I drilled a hole in the storage compartment to run the cable out the bottom. I Got a plastic plug to fill the hole from lowes. Now all i have to do is pull the plug and screw in the cable and I have satellite.

Ritchie23,
You have me confused. My outside cable connection is on drivers side in power cord compartment. Did you just run a separate cable from walley under the TV to a storage compartment under the TV and fireplace. Yesterday before my 4 hr trip home I stopped at the dealer. They hooked a cable tester to the outside connector and the inside connector at the winguard wall plate. They got no signal. I am not sure where that even runs to.

You have a outside tv hook up on the passenger side of the RV. I think its the 3rd compartment. I unhooked the cable inside under the tv and ran it into the wally. This way kept me from having to fish a cable throught the wall.

I will look at that tomorrow, thank you for that info. Now that I am home I have some time to figure more stuff out. So it must be on either side of the propane. I know the solar controller is in one of those. Still trying to figure out how to get the propane to read inside.

Sure enough another hook up. I will hook up my satellite to check it out. Since there is also a 110 outlet I ordered a power cable access like the one for our cord. This way I can also run outside power and keep any critters out. Jayco saved another dollar by not doing that. So my list to do.
1. Add another solar panel for 12 v fridge.
2. Replace the lame bathroom vent and fan. Install Fantastic fan or max air.
3 . Mud flaps
4. Rock guard for the toad.
5. Extend front gutters ( stupid that the dump right at the doors
6. Wheels balanced
7. Caster bushings to get to 5 plus.
8. Spare tire and rim to fit front caliper.
9. Bedroom Fire window. Add the old style opener so window can be opened for air along with a Velcro screen. Need to get ventilation when dry camping.
Plus another 50 items or so.

You might want to consider an alignment too.

That will go with the caster bushings

Rather than dealing with satellite dishes have you considered using a smart TV, wifi?

I have a 12 acre mountain camp in the Adirondacks I spend 2-3 months at on a river No electric, wifi, water but septic. Use river water for washing with light chlorine. I have a Honda 3000IS and 2200. Jayco uses smart TVs. The problem is the installed cables go thru the wineguard. They said any satellite receiver that sends power to the satellite will not go thru the wineguard. My satellite gives me evening TV. But Jayco needs to run a totally separate cable for just ground satellite. Much rather dry camp in no where land than parks. But it was an easy fix thanks to this site. Thank you Richiee23

Might not be likely, but if you happen to have cell service there you should be able to use your cell phone as a wifi hot spot and connect it to your smart tv. We've done that almost everywhere we go.

Greyhawk 30Z

We love our 2022 30Z , it is our second Greyhawk . Really like the recliners and the big TV . We have over 20,000 miles on it with no issues so far and we pull a race car trailer , horse trailer and a regular car trailer with it . We stream prime and netflix with the Winegard unit.

So today I called Jayco and requested all the MH blueprints. Got them all and this was on the TV cable diagram. A note saying for portable satellites take the wineguard cable faceplate off and disconnect the black cable and than run it to the satellite receiver. This is what Richie23 said he did but he used the orange cable. The black cable comes from the driver side cable hook up. The orange is from right side for an outside TV. I also used the orange so black stays connected for campground cable hook up. You would think they would put this info out for owners. I asked why not just run another cable and label it sat. My FW had three cable hook ups in the wet bay. Sat, cable and Aux.
