Just picked up new to me 2012 Seneca
Just flew in and drove 1100 miles home, overall like the unit but had Couple questions/ problems please, probably stupid questions but couldn’t find answers on forum search:
1) Fuel tanks are seperate and have to fill independently? Any way to retrofit aome sort of transfer system?
2) black and gray tank level indicators, leds light up when tanks get full or the opposite
3) strange, loud noise at certain rpms, (approx. 1500-2000) goes away when accelerating
4) Blue tooth connects but won’t play loud enough to hear it, gain all the way up on Iphone and head unit, everything else on stereo, nav, dvd works correctly
5) Windshield wipers go on and off sporadically even when unit is all the way off, they work properly when on.
Thank You VERY MUCH in advance if someone can help

1. Newer trucks have mostly done away with lower connecting lines due to the danger of road debris ripping the cross-connect hose off creating a hazmat incident. Here is more information on our self-equalizing fuel system: Jayco Seneca Freightliner M2 Two Separate Fuel Tanks and Equiflo, How the hell does this work? | RV Underground
2. The stock tank level senders are notoriously inaccurate. You may have wires that have become disconnected from the sensor probes. But accessing those connections to check may be problematic. A more accurate system of sensors is available called SeeLevel. Manufactured by Garnet. I installed the system on my Seneca and it works great, but it is a lot of work and disassembly. Here are some pics of my SeeLevel installation: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/m...lbums1497.html
3. Early Senecas had an issue with the shifter cable "buzzing" that was remedied by Freightliner with remounting the shifter cable. This noise usually occurred when cruising in OD. Accelerating and causing the transmission to downshift would make the noise go away. Here is an older thread that discussed wind noise, on page 2 of the thread it discusses the TSB for the shifter cable: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...eds-33462.html
4 and 5. Can't help much with those. Many different cab stereos have been used by Jayco over the years and each has different troubleshooting methods. And the wiper issue may be as simple as a loose connection, bad switch, or something more complicated like an issue with the chassis multiplexing module.
Congratulation on the Seneca, I sure love mine! Welcome to the forum too!

Also, the cooling fan for the radiator will cycle on at 220 degrees or so and off at 180ish degrees. Depending on which gear you are in and the RPM, the fan speed and noise will vary. Low gear and high RPM is a like a 747 taking off, and loafing in OD, you can converse over the noise.

If your model uses the Clarion NX501 stereo, GPS, and DVD player, the attached link has manuals and updates for Bluetooth, the maps, and cameras. You need a formatted micro SD card per instructions. The map updates are a little difficult and not free. DON'T USE THE INSTALLED SD CARD FOR UPDATES.

Thank You very much for the replies, one thing I might not have conveyed correctly is on the gray and black water read out.
Does red leds all the way mean the tank is empty or full?
Thanks in advance!

Not much else to add
When I saw who had already replied I knew you had all the information you could ever need. Only one thing to add: RV Geeks recommended putting cascade in gray/black tanks and then filling most of the way full before a good drive to losses and clean tanks.
The fit rv busted the myth of ice in the black tank.

The forum search function leaves a lot to be desired. If you want a really accurate search of info on this forum, go to this link:
https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=015066...95:_douuy_o5dq
It is a google search that is specific for this forum, JOF. Just enter the search words in the upper left block.

I appreciate that JOF is trying to provide a better search tool than what vBulletin provides... BUT---
The google search tool sucks worse than the JOF search... I just now clicked on your link... typed in Seneca chassis batteries and look what it returns!!!
