Kayak mount

Does anyone transport a Kayak with their RV? Any rigs or mods that will allow us to bring one along with us?

I bought a 4x8 trailer from harbor freight and built wooden racks to hold our kayaks and paddle board. It cost me about $300 all said and done and it can go from vehicle to vehicle as well. No trying to get a kayak on top of a roof, scratching paint etc..

KYCAMPER, I have a trailer on which I have mounted 3 pairs of J-cradles to carry kayaks (could carry 4). Previously I had it rigged with 2 J-cradles and a center stanchion for carrying 2 kayaks and a canoe. It would be easy to rig with 2 J-cradles and a 2 bike carrier.

If you were in Texas have I got a deal for you.

Here are a couple of youtube ideas.
Considerations need to be made for the extra height and whether you have a toad or not.

You are most welcome. We loved kayaking in our younger years. Hope you are able to put something together. Another option would be a toy hauler......they are so versatile.

I have been looking at modular Kayaks. They break down into 3' or 4' sections and can easily fit inside the camper. Bad part is that are a bit pricey. Just Google "modular kayak" you'll see some.
