Apparently Thetford makes a sleeve for the macerator hose. The one I got from Jayco as a warranty replacement had a canvas sleeve on it. When I got that I did check into a backup hose from a dealer but that replacement kit did not come with the canvas sleeve. That is when I made my broken hose into my backup. Therefore, I can not tell you how to get a sleeve other than contacting Thetford direct, I did not do that or have the Thetford dealer ask.

I got my valve done today. I just didn't like the ball valve and was able to use a 1.5" slide valve and a 90 at a 45 degree angle toward the opening. This seemed to take up less room that I use for hose storage and take some stress off the hose..

Thanks for the input on is project. That's what I really like about this forum. Somebody comes up with a plan and others help come up with alternatives.

Thetford told me they don't make or sell such a sleeve. You were lucky to get one.

Ok, I did some research. I googled the part number NPS 209-300, printed on the sleeve. It comes back to Central States Hose Inc. It is the sleeve that is on my hose but it comes in 300ft lengths. Their part number is HZ-NPS- 209. Someone might call & ask if they would sell in shorter lengths. I do not know how I got the sleeve on my hose unless it was a sample.

Great, I'll check into that source. So the expanded hose length is 20 ft?

Lowes locally here sells a clear hose by the foot. I used it in my van conversion to connect to the sink drain to a portable grey water container. I bought either a 1-1/4 or 1-1/2 id but they had several sizes.

We had sunny weather today here in northern Alabama, so I finished our ball-valve/elbow install. I had move the macerator around little to thread the valve on to the nipple. Not too hard to remove the 4 hold down bolts and loosen up the rubber sleeve behind the 1 1/2" outlet. I have an additional coupling for a clear tube, but not sure I will have enough room.

As someone else had commented in this post their appreciation on folks posting their ideas here to help us out. I would like to thank you as well.

I went ahead and purchased a ball valve for our 2019 Seneca. After I took the macerator hose off the unit I could not get the fitting going to the macerator to come loose so I could put the 1 and 1/2 inch fitting on the ball valve on the unit . Was afraid if I put too much force on the fitting to break it loose something would break on the macerator . Any suggestions for getting it loose. Thanks

If your compartment is like mine, I didn’t have enough clearance to rotate the ball valve body into the macerator outlet fitting. And I couldn’t remove the ball valve handle although the clearance would have still been a problem. So I got another slip-on fitting for the ball valve and a short section of reinforced clear vinyl hose and made the connections with band clamps. Even though I could unscrew the macerator outlet fitting, the clearance issue prevented a screw-on connection. So you may want to go this route instead of fighting your fitting. Who knows, someone at Jayco might have glued your fitting!
