Las Vegas to Tampa

We normally travel starting in June but we bumped it up a month. Any advice on the type of weather I may run into traveling from Las Vegas to Tampa Fl starting May 1st? Plan on Traveling through Albuquerque, Amarillo, Ft Worth, Shreveport etc.

Vegas...hot
AZ....hot
New Mexico...windy as F
Western Texas ..windy as F
The rest will be amazing besides a Hurricane or tropical storm

The Gulf is amazing, take some time to check it out if possible

I'm in AZ, went to Texas Louisiana Mississippi last two years, it's amazing, always breezy to windy, but love it down there
I left before the hot and muggy summers hit though

Have fun

That pretty much covers it and double the wind that time of year especially all the way down I-40. There can be some nasty late winter/spring storms through eastern AZ and across most all of NM and the panhandle of TX. Those tend to bring some blinding blowing dust in AZ. Just watch the weather and if a front moves through take a day off.
