Levelers low to the ground 27U

On my 2020 27U - the hydraulic levelers seems very low to the ground. Has any one hit one on ground. And, is there a way, and should I consider raising them up a bit. Looks like mounted to the frame with a couple bolts and looks possible to raise them a couple of inches. Thanks for any input. Considering adding snap pads - but would make it even lower at current setting.

Mine on my 2018 Greyhawk 31DS also appear low, and I did install Snap Pads which make them even a bit lower. Have never bottomed out with them to date, however, I am fearful of their minimal ground clearance. Looking forward to a response to your question, as if it is possible, I would love to raise mine up a tad.

I learned the hard way a couple times, to take any sharp incline or decline VERY slowly. I scraped my rear levelers a couple times. Yeah, they are low. However, the sewer line is just a little higher back there so I consider it a warning so that I don't bust than thing up.

Oh yeah, I scraped mine a few times in the beginning when I first purchased my 2017 Greyhawk. Upon investigation I discovered that Jayco did not bother to follow the manufacturer's installation specs and had mounted them too low. I seem to remember that they were 1.5" too low. I unbolted and moved them up to provide the clearance that was required. Problem solved!

I have attached the install manual for my jacks which gives the ground clearance needed. If you have a different model of jack, go to the manufacturer's web site to see if you can find install instructions. The adjustment is fairly easy.

Jim, Did the adjustment to raise the jacks up 1.5 inches require complete removal, or did you just move them up a mounting hole or two? I believe I have the same jacks as you.

Rudy,

The adjustment only required the bolts be removed from the adjustment holes so you could put them in different holes. The part attached to the frame stayed put.
