Leveling jacks

When my jacks have been extended fully they won't retract by hitting the all retract button. Do i need more fluid?

Did you try to retract them in the manual mode?...

Retracting jacks

That was the only way to get them up after several times.
Do I need to add fluid, if so where and what kind
Thank you

Recommend you find out what brand levelers you have and download the owner's manual. That will tell you everything. I looked at my Equalizer manual and it did say low fluid could cause retract problems.

I have attached the manual for mine in case you have the same thing.

Go under and look for leaks in the system too.

I would not think that the system is low on fluid if the jacks will fully extend. You do not say what type of leveling system or what kind of R.V. you have.

Thank you, I understand all of that but sometimes they get stuck in the leveled position, I have a hard time getting them to retract.

My Equalizers on my 2016 started acting up. One day, last summer, they would not come up. Does your motor run and does everything sound normal? That was my symptom - everything seemed and sounded find, but the legs were not coming up.

Our reservoir is located in the front bay, just above the hydraulic pump. The fluid is Dextron Automatic Transmission Fluid.

As other have said, there may be a different issue but this is an easy first check.

In my 2018 29MV, the jack motors, valves and reservoir are located in the center of the rig underneath, about half way between the front and rear axles. The reservoir looks like any other automotive fluid reservoir and sits directly on top of the pump and motor for the system. It is not terribly easy to fill.

I agree that you should download the manual for your jacks and see what the process is for filling/purging/troubleshooting. But the punchline is that the fluid level in the reservoir should be full when all jacks are fully retracted.

If in doubt, you can call the manufacturer of the jacks for "tech support". I've found them to be helpful when I've called.

More likely electrical unless you have seen an oil leak. I had to change my relay switch because it wasn’t working properly but it was not connecting when you hit retract all. If yours run but doesn’t retract it mite be a different problem. I carry a drill so I can do it manually if doesn’t retract.

So I had issues with my electric system called the manufacturer and they talked me through fixing it. You may want to try that
