liquisol paint

Has anyone ever used liguisol paint on their skylight in the 29mv. I've been searching the internet for a solution to reduce the heat it generates. I've put in the foil window shield used in autos for the windshield. When I tried to go to the liquisol manufacture web site it is down. Don't know if temp of permanent. Will figure that out in a couple of days.Hope everybody has a happy camping season.

I sprayed mine with white PlastiDip paint works great and is removable. I had it on for 3 years on previous camper.it. Made a big difference with the heat and still lets plenty of light in.

Interesting. Applied to the exterior of the skylight on the roof?

Yes, sprayed a few coats on from roof. It makes the skylight opaque.

Interesting indeed!

I put some Reflectix up there, but the "Command" strips I used failed. It was a stop-gap anyway. I meant to get some foam block insulation yesterday while I was at the store, but I forgot. My plan is to attach a layer of Reflectix to the top and bottom of the foam block, and come up with some way to secure it temporarily in the opening without interfering with the accordion shade.

We really like the light, but dang, it lets A LOT of heat through!

I cut Reflectix insulation to fit the inside shape of my skylight in the shower area . I taped small 1/4 inch round Neodymium magnets with foil duct tape as I sealed the edge . It sticks to the mounting screws of the skylight. I press the Reflectix to the skylight to mark the location of the screws before I sealed the edges with foil tape . It really cuts the heat and I can remove it if I want the light .
