Living room slide topper.

I’ve just replaced the topper on my living room slide on my 2016 Seneca. Has anyone replaced the spring in that topper. It seems to be very loose.

I haven't had to replace my fabric yet, but I have noticed both my Carefree SOKIII "sag" when extended. They did not do that when new.

I was hoping there was a way to tension the springs but have not dug that deep yet. If you find out please post back!

While on our last trip... we got caught up in the "Bomb Cyclone" that hit the Northern states. Our slide topper was having sag issues before the storm, but the snow helped make them worse.

We paid a mobile service guy a couple hundred bucks to come out and service both of our slide toppers, tighten the spring along with clean, inspect and lubricate. Best pair of Franklins we have spent in a while. Very happy now with them pulling in when the slide goes in now.

He had us push the slide in about 6 inches for a few minutes while he had the spring mechanism locked, and then re-attached the roller bar back to the slide after cleaning and lubricating the roller bearing assy.
