Load on generator

When running generator for monthly test , I usually turn a/c on to place a load on the generator. I now have a cover on my 2017 Greyhawk 29mv and wondering if it is okay to run a/c with cover on? Will plugging in an electric heater place enough load on generator?

An electric heater and a blow dryer will do the trick. That will be close to 3000 Watts. Don’t leave either unattended.

I would say, plug in a heater and turn on the fridge for a bit.

I don't think I would run the AC with the cover on. Short period, 5 minutes, not likely to be an issue. For an hour, might be a risk of overheat of some components from lack of air flow. They see up to 110 or 115F in summer, but there is a cooling fan in there for a reason.
