Looking for Spare tire wheel/rim and tire 2018 Greyhawk 29MVP

My 2018 Jayco Greyhawk 29 MVP did not come with a spare tire. Have to use the Coach Net service provided from Jayco at purchase if something happens. I researched the spare tire hitch for it. Roadmaster spare tire carrier in the hitch. Ok that is easy. Now for the rim and the tire. So hard to find. I guess I have to go back to dealer and order through parts. I hear just the rim is around 400 bucks for a spare tire plus, then add the tire to it to be mounted and balanced. Any suggestions here. Not sure what to do.

Get the rim and tire from Ford - Jayco doesn’t support the chassis.

Drive your Greyhawk to a local tire shop and tell them you're looking for a tire and a used rim. Take your Greyhawk with you in order to make sure you get the correct size. That was my mistake on the first try--I just took some measurements and the rim they gave me was just a smidge off. The second time around I took a wheel with me and got it right. Most places, especially locally-owned ones, can find you a used rim for a lot less, and if they don't already have one they can find one for you. I went to H&H Tire in Colorado Springs and got a tire and rim together for about 200 bucks--definitely worth the piece of mind. Too often we find ourselves out in the middle of nowhere with no cell coverage, so roadside assistance would be tough to get. My spare just rides around in the cargo area in the back end (actually, I have two spares back there--one for the RV and the other for the trailer or tow dolly we always seem to be dragging around).

I have the correct wheel for your greyhawk, good used for $50 plus shipping. I am in PA, don't know where you are.

I called the Local Ford dealer and for the just the rim/wheel is 475.00 Ouch! but it will fit both front and rear. Just have to add tire and buy my Roadmaster Spare tire Hitch mount. I guess its better than traveling with out one and really paying big money for tow and tire prices.

I also have a 2018 29 MVP and bought two of these for it because one did not get here in time for my trip out west last summer. I guarantee this is correct for yours as it is the same as mine. My lose your gain. Sure don''t need two. I got a new tire mounted on the other rim at Sam's Club for about $200. I use the rear hitch mounted spare carrier and it has worked very well. I think it was around $80.

Not liking the idea of driving our Greyhawk without a spare, I bought a used rim and a local tire shop mounted a matching Michelin. Was glad I did when we had a blowout on I-95 a few months later. Since I had a complete spare, it took the roadside service guy less than 90 minutes to arrive, swap the tires and get us back on the road. Now I just need to put it someplace than than the rear cargo compartment.
