Love my Gerard water heater so far

I have a 2017 Seneca with the Gerard water heater.

First I'd like to thank the poster that suggested to set the water temperature that's comfortable without adding cold water when you shower, for us that's 105.

Second I've learned to always carry fresh water in my tank. Currently I'm in Denali National Park and during our travels we have only boon dock one night but have been in many campgrounds that don't have the water pressure to light my water heater. So many times even though we have full hook ups I use my fresh water tank to shower. I usually have more water pressure and my heater doesn't shut on and off while taking a shower. Sure it can be a pain to go outside to change the settings, but if it makes my wife a happy camper it's worth it.

I hope having said that I don't start having problems.

This has been a positive post.

That is almost how we learned to do it!! Even for a week in a park with hookups, we only use the park water source to fill our tank! (and to flush our black tank) the rest of the time their water is turned off at the hydrant. We just run our Seneca on our tank supply and water pump. We don't go switching it back/forth for the shower. We also know how much water we really use this way.

Have you tried to align to the onboard FW tank, have city water connection with pressure, and have your pump on too? Will this allow for required augmentation to ensure proper water pressure ?
