Low propane pressure

Recently purchased a 2022 Jayco 27U. First let me say, the tank was filled to 75 % by the dealership. I was making a pre trip inspection of all fixtures and saw the gas on the water heater would not stay lit. I tried it several times thinking air was the problem. I tried to lite the gas on the stove and saw very low pressure. The thought crossed my mind to check the breakers for some reason. The converter breaker was tripped. I reset it and the pressure increased. Is there a tank heater or something what is the connection between the converter and low pressure

There's a safety feature in the regulator which shuts down the flow if it senses a lot of flow (as if a hose has been cut).

Shut off the tank valve, bleed off the gas pressure in the lines (open and then close a stove burner valve). Then re-open the tank valve SLOWLY.

The converter breaker being tripped sounds like a different issue.

Thank you. That is great to know however the low pressure was related to the converter breaker being tripped. Within minutes after resetting the breaker, the gas pressure was fine.

Should be no connection between the 2, probably coincidence.

A hung up OPD valve, or possibly a valve in the gas lines that shuts off flow if a leak occurs, shut off tank valve, loosen connector to release pressure, tighten and open tank valve slowly.

Welcome to the JaycoOwnersForums (JOF).

Just a thought, there is a electric solenoid on the water heater gas line in the wh cabinet that opens when power is supplied. I suspect that with the low voltage that perhaps the solenoid wasn't able to open all of the way. ~CA

There is a recall on some models propane regulator.

We thought it was us when the stove would not light nor the oven without a lot of tries. Turns out the regulator is defective and sends either too much or too little propane. We got a letter from Jayco and our dealer has arranged repair.

While the OP's unit is not affected, there may be others who should notice. We bought our unit in Feb and the recall was done in June. We got the letter Oct 30.

Things are not sent timely.

I agree with ARoamer. There is no way the inverter (A/C electrical source) has any impact on gas pressure (plumbing). There's simply no interconnect between the two. Even the solenoid craigav mentions should be a 12V device.

I read that there used to be (maybe 20 years ago) LP detectors that also controlled a solenoid that shut off the propane. As far as I know, that requirement expired long ago.
IF there is a propane shutoff solenoid, it MAY have been closed by low 12 volt power resulting from a nonfunctional converter.

Thanks everyone. It sure may be a coincidence but the flame on the stove went from barely standing to full flame within a minute of resetting the breaker.
