LP Gas

I am considering upgrading or installing a larger LPgas tank in the 2010 Grayhawk 31GS.

Has anyone done this before? Is it possible to do? Any ideas or other options?

Thanks!
Randy

Hello Randy
I am not very familiar with the 2010 Grayhawk, but in my Seneca, I do not think a larger tank would fit in the space provided. What I did was add an extend-a-stay system. All that does is adds a tee into the line where I can hook up an additional external tank when parked. I use a twenty pound tank, but any size tank would work. I chose a twenty pound tank simply for the ease of taking it down to wal-mart and getting it filled or exchanged.

Size of tank?

My tank (56 lbs of LP) in the Greyhawk equals to 1,204,896 BTUs and I figure at the most I would burn about between 50,000 and 75,000 BTUs a day and should give me 2 to 3 weeks of usage hooked up at a RV Park and if dry camping about 2 weeks.
If you do get a larger tanks make sure you have it done correctly and by someone who is qualified to do the work. If done incorrectly it is not safe and if anything were to happen beside the danger of being hurt, your insurance most likely would not cover the lose if they discover a incorrect installation. Always be careful about working with LP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
