Macerator won't shut off

I've had two occasions when my macerator would not turn off. Both times it turned on as expected when I flipped the switch, but when I flipped the switch off, it continued to run. The first time, it eventually shut off after a few minutes. The second time, I finally had to disconnect wires to get it to turn off. I was initially thinking it was just a switch problem, but even with the switch disconnected, the macerator continued to run.

Any thoughts on the issue would be appreciated.

My guess is it’s wired through a relay and the relay is sticking. On my Seneca there is a bank of 5 relays under the bed and I have not idea what they control without a wiring diagram. You might contact Jayco and ask for a wiring diagram of that circuit.

Sounds like you have a short somewhere between the switch and the motor.
