Maiden Voyage 31 FS

After waiting over a year we finally took our first trip in our 31 FS! I now have a solid hit list for CW to address. The worst of a surprisingly small list of issues is that the left mirror door on the medicine cabinet fell off and gouged the bathroom sink, lower cabinet, and floor. Could have been worse, it didn't hit the shower door. The helwig system needs adjustment. Overall pretty happy with the rig. I guess I'll know more when I try and use the warranty through CW. Fingers crossed, still have about 1600 miles and two weeks before we are back and ready to test the Warranty water. Hope CW has as much time for service as they did sales. Fingers crossed. [emoji16]

I would trust CW as far as I could throw your 31FS. I personally would contact Jayco to send you a new sink and install it myself. Note to self:check all the cabinet doors to ensure they are secure, next time I am at storage...

My mirror fell off of the left side door. Jayco went to all the trouble of applying at least 15' of double sided tape, but only removed the backing film from about 1' of it. Funny how the tape doesn't work very well like that.

I wouldn't trust CW to check the windshield washer fluid.

Why not? I bought my TT there and at the end of the PDI, they didn't bother to dump the BW tank. It was still perfectly 3/4 full when I got home.

They did, eventually, make good on the missing sewer hose....

Ok so, my next question is will Jayco work directly with the buyer or do they mandate service through the dealer?

The Jayco Factory Service Center in Middlebury is beyond wonderful!

The do incredible work, and the factory tour is great.

You will need a reservation for the service. Also, there is lots to see and do around Middlebury (the RV museum is great).

Our bathroom mirrors are also installed with double stick tape. This weekend, I noticed that the mirrors are starting to slide down the doors; the left is about an 1 down and the right about 1/2 inch. I removed the doors so the mirrors don't completely come off in storage. Any thoughts on how to get the mirrors off the doors? Hair dryer, perhaps? Thoughts appreciated. With all the construction adhesives and contact cements available, it's a surprise that double stick tape is the way this is installed. If I can get the doors and mirrors separated, I'd probably use some type of construction adhesive with metal brackets at the bottoms to prevent future vertical slide. Anyone have experience with this issue?

If you could work a piece of piano wire behind mirror from side to side and pull it down it would cut tape I would be afraid heat would break the mirror
