Our 2015 20MRB White Hawk could use a new mattress. My Wife likes the Serenia (fits our budget). Do we buy the 6" or 8" mattress? I hate to admit this but I'm built like a tank. Hope Serenia is the answer.

We too were told by a young RV salesman that the Denver mattress was the best in the industry. He must have been a military recruiter in his first job.

Serenia - I like what I see on Amazon. I might even be able to get away w/ the 8"; my mattress does NOT slide under my closet doors as I first thought. I comes to rest right at the end with just a smidge of the mattress under the lip. If I get a memory foam, the extra 2 inches just might smoosh enough to close it.

We (the wife and I) are very close to resolving our mattress issue in the '16 Greyhawk 29MV. We met with Scott Erwin of Erwin's Mattress this morning, settled on a short queen with the amount of density/texture we wanted in our mattress, and it will be hand crafted (and customized) for us within a week.

To my surprise, Erwin's has a lot of state-wide RV business. He delivered a RV King to New Orleans last Friday.

What length did you pick for your 29MV? And what thickness?

Because the mattress is somewhat more firm then the original, we went with 73" long, 60" wide.

73" long is two inches shorter than the original. I didn't want the mattress pushing on the cabinetry as the slide was closing, like it did with the original mattress.

THE thickness was the same as a mattress we tested. Looked to be about 7".

Hrm. The one I'm looking at is 75". Its also 8". However, I'm thinking that last 1" is memory foam and will just mush a little w/ minimum fuss.

At least that's what I'm thinking. Hoping?

Like you, "I'm thinking and hoping". At 6'3", I sleep curled up on my side, and not on my back. I feel sure the measurements will suffice for us.

I actually like the Denver mattress

I've been using the original Denver mattress in my 2014 31DS for two years including a four month trip to Alaska last summer. I have no complaints with it. But I'm a small guy, 5'5", 150 lbs. I have no desire to replace it.

Kevin5203, I'll bet your mattress isn't the Denver Weekender - foam, 6 inches thick. My wife weighs in at 130 lbs and managed to create a permanent depression in the Weekender after 2 weeks.

Looking at your floor plan the mattress doesn't have to slide under closet furniture so there were no restrictions to mattress thickness.

No it is quite accessible whether slide is in or out. It was advertised as a Denver mattress, feels like spring mattress, quite comfortable.
