Melbourne 24 L Radio & TV

Has anyone had success in getting a DVD to play on their TV (Furrion) through the Disc function on the radio (Pioneer AVH-X2800BS)? We can hear the DVD playing through the speaker system but cannot get it to show on the TV. Any assistance or input would be appreciated.

Yes, but honestly I can’t remember exact steps. I should be in the rig this weekend and I’ll try to do it again.

On the tv change the source of the signal in the menu. I know it is not hdmi but either RCA or component.

I can get you more details of how to do it but if you haven’t done it yet there is a way to get cable and over the air station sound to play through the head unit as well.

Thanks. I did that before but nothing showed on the TV. I made sure the antenna was turned off so there was no interference. I'm beginning to think that some of the cables from the TV to the radio, which allow for seeing the DVD on the TV, may not be connected. Will have to dig in behind the dashboard.

When we are connected to TV cable or over the air, we get the sound coming through the entire speaker system of the motor home. That's not a problem. Only having troubles getting the TV to play the DVD, even though I can hear the DVD playing through the sound system.

Thanks for your inputs. Much Appreciated.

Everything on our Furrion and sound system works perfectly. Perhaps a warranty issue?

I only added that 2nd part because our sound was only coming through the tv in over the air and cable set up. I had to play around till I discovered otherwise. Funny I cant tell others how to do it but when I see it I can go right to it.

Had the same issue. Had to go on the back of the Furion TV, find the yellow RCA plug, and squeeze the outer coax ground return with a needle nose pliers. Once I did this, it fit snugly, and the video showed up. Note - it's not an HDMI input on the Furion remote, it's one of the other inputs.

Bill, thanks. I will give that a try.
