Looking to purchase a new class C with a Mercedes chassis. Any comments or reviews?
Thanks in advance?

We have a 2016 Jayco Melbourne. Love it. Drove it 7000 miles to Alaska and back last summer. Currently driving Highway 50 from Sacramento CA to Ocean City Maryland. Returning home on Route 66. Total mileage will be approximately 7,000 miles. 14-15 mpg. We travel 60-62 mph
We haven’t had any major issues with it in 2 years. We did replace dinette with 2 recliners and console

We have a Melbourne 24M, a model that's no longer made. It has a Murphy bed, which we life.
As for the entire unit: The 6-cylinder turbo diesel is magical. Good power. Good mpg: 10-16. Super smooth. Transmission silky smooth.
We tow a Jeep Wrangler, easily, and lose only 1.5-2 mpg.
For two people, the 24M is good. Might be cramped for more than two.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely. But again, it works for two.
One downside: limited outside storage space. So we have a 2-foot by 5-foot wrack that mounts in the trailer hitch.............
Another upside: lots of interior storage space..........

Thanks. Sounds good. We ended up trading a Jayco super C on a Freedom Elite 25 footer with the Mercedes chassis. Haven’t taken a trip yet but looking forward to it. Will be towing a trailer with a Mini Cooper.

Not sure if that's Clayton Ga. but I have a brother in Villa Rica Ga. that sold his 43' toy hauler last year and purchased a 25' Thor on the Mercedes chassis with bedroom slide. He told me a couple weeks ago he liked the motor home but missed the toy hauler because he could not carry his motorcycle. He said he was going to sell it and get another toy hauler. It's one year old 2 adults, non smoking, no pets. I not sure but I think it was around $78,000. He said he would probably ask around $62,000 if your looking used. He is in Vegas this week but if interested I can get more info.

No, it’s Indiana. Sorry but we already purchased. Most of the left side is a slide.

What a GREAT trip your on!! I just love taking the old US Highways. After 40 years of driving interstates for a living, I now enjoy taking the back roads most of the time. When travelling those roads we always keep an eye out for old tourist sites, old motels and truck stops. It's such a refreshing way to travel. Gotta love it. Have fun!!

Yes indeed. There's a lot of interesting things to see and people to talk with along these county roads and small towns.
