Microwave and TV not powering up

Hello!

I have a 2018 Jayco Redhawk 31XL.

While NOT plugged in, power is not getting to the microwave nor TV. The breakers seem fine.

Is this the correct order:
1. Main power on
2. Turn on Inverter
Things should work?

Can I also do this for AC+microwave:
1. Main power on
2. Turn on generator
3. Turn on inverter
Would this work?

Thank you!

When connected to shore power or the generator is on, everything should work.

When using the inverter (battery power), only a few items will work. Often the residential refrigerator (if equipped) and a TV. All of the other outlets are dead.

If you are trying to run the TV while driving, there is a safety circuit in the outlet that keeps it from being powered up. Remove the outlet from the wall, and you will see an extra purple wire. This wire is powering a relay within the outlet, from the engine. Cut the purple wire, cap the ends and the outlet can be powered up while driving.

The inverter is fairly small, I suspect maybe 1000 watt in your MH. If nothing works when it is turned on. There is a circuit breaker on the inverter. Check the inverter, as it maybe tripped.

Thanks! So the steps we are doing are ok? Turning on the main power, then generator, then inverter and microwave should work while driving?

You don't need the Inverter if running the geny. Inverter is for when you can't run geny or no shore power.

Yes the microwave should work after those steps.

But Grumpy is right too - you don't need to turn on the inverter.
You can, it doesn't hurt, but you don't need to have it on.
