Mobile Eye?

I searched the internet and couldn't find a good answer to this so hopefully someone here can help... I am seeing some Super C's I'm looking at with an option to add Mobile Eye to the coach and I'm trying to figure out what it does and doesn't do... My original Tesla had Mobile Eye technology for gen1 auto pilot functionality (Tesla and Mobile Eye divorced shortly after that).

So what does Mobile Eye do in a Super C? Does it steer the coach? Control cruise control speed in traffic? I can't seem to find a good explanation as to what it does and why... More than happy to read a link but I just couldn't find a good answer...

Thanks,
Jeff

I think I saw a video on YouTube with mobile eye on a Super C. I believe all it was is 2 cameras looking back down the sides of the coach to see if the lane is clear to get over. Look on YouTube on some recent Super C videos to get clarification. I'm only going from my memory...and that's not saying much!

I had it installed on the Accolade. Lane departure, speeding tracking, following distance. It is not an active system meaning it only warns and does not take action like braking.

Thanks!!! I keep waiting for at least traffic aware cruise control to get into these coaches... Seems like we're getting closer...

Thanks,
Jeff

I drive a Peterbilt for FCA. It has the adaptive cruise control. If you are not paying strict attention and you creep up on a vehicle in front of you, you will slow down then increase your following distance and finally match his speed. Not a problem if most folks are passing you.

For me here in CA, it's about driving in traffic... It'd be so much nicer if my RV worked like my Tesla... LOL
