Motorhome description

My insurance says my Jayco Melbourne 26A is a Class C, but the dealership papers say its a Class B. The chassis is a 2013 Ford F450 and the coach is a 2014. Has 2 slideouts.
Does anyone know the difference and if it matters that the insurance description could be wrong?

Another dealer who is "clueless". Jayco doesn't make a class "B" which is a van type unit.

Maybe someone in the insurance industry will chime in. I would think it does matter and needs to be corrected if that is on any registration papers.

Usually the vin # is the tracking #.

I think we all agree - you have a Class C.

Might want to verify the VIN # on the dash to the paperwork, humans have been involved. ;|

In "insurance talk" I think all that counts is that the VIN is correct on the policy.

If you have a total loss, that won't be true. At least it wasn't in my case. They will pay you what they think it is worth by using comps (up to your coverage limit). I want the paperwork correct, and the max payout to be at least what it takes to replace my RV.
