Mounting Bedroom TV in Jayco Melbourne Prestige 24L...or any other model

Jayco has a sticker in the upper right-hand corner of the bedroom wall showing where to mount a small TV. If anyone has mounted a TV how large is the board above, below, and to the sides of the sticker? I have found a two-bolt mount that would extend above and below the mount. How long of a bolt did you use to mount your TV? I don't want to drill into the wall without knowing what I'm getting into.

Anyone with a similar experience on other models is welcome to comment also.

Thanks!

I mounted a 19" flat screen on the bedroom wall using a wall mount and 1" screws. The bracket on the television slides in and out of the bracket mounted to the wall so it's easy to mount and remove the television when we're on the road (I don't leave it mounted while we're traveling).

Thanks 2edgesword. Where did you get the bracket? How large is the mount that attached to the wall?....did it stay within the sticker? Thanks again.

I have a closet on the other side of the Bedroom TV mounting space so I used through bolts with fender washers. I bought this mount so that I could use outside using the TV base or in my basement using the second mount.

The one I have now is just a flat mount (no extended arm) similar to this...

https://www.ebay.com/i/371351090786?...103d06ffe3ac42

It's about 5"x5" and I think I paid $30 ~ $40 for it.

You need to mount the wall plate low enough so there is enough room between the wall plate and ceiling to lift the television above the bracket and slide the slots on the portion of the bracket attached to the television into the slots on the wall plate. I think the stick serves as a general guide to location with some latitude to go up and down to position the wall plate to accommodate mounting and removing the television from the wall plate for storage.

I've mounted three different wall brackets using 1" screws and never compromised anything on the opposite side of the bracket (interior or exterior walls). The brackets have held the television securely (19" flat screen) during the normal rocking and rolling of the trailer when camping but I wouldn't trust them on the road so I remove the television for traveling.

It worked good it seems to be a fairly big mounting spot where it say to mount a TV. I used extra screws to make sure it held. If it works I sent you picture and I’ll send one after the TV is up. Roy

No problem . Just curious if your stereo fades from the from to the back because mine didn’t so I had to take it to a stereo shop to fix it

When someone rides in the back the radio was too load so I tied to adjust it from the stereo adjustments on the radio from the back to the front and it wound change the volume level because all the speakers were hooked on the same circuit , so it shut them all off if I tried to change the volume from the front to the back. .

I haven't noticed.....only 2 of us. How do you adjust the back volume separate from the front volume?

If you have a soundsteam stereo. When the radio is on you press the spot on the bottom that show three bars and then it takes you to a screen bass and treble and you press spot right under the exit and it takes to to a picture where you can adjust left to right or front to back. If you never have more than two in you motor home or have anyone ride in the back it will never bother you at all but if you do it’s to loud in the back of the motorhome on mine

I used an inch and 1/4 screw . The biggest that fit through the bracket . I didn’t use a starter bit but if you do I would use a 1/8” drill bit

In June I installed in my 2018 Melbourne 24K a TV mount in the bedroom. The sticker was a little off center but I tapped on the wall to find where to wood backer stopps. I confirmed it was where I suspected with a stud finder. The board is pretty big. Anyway, I believe the screws I used were half inch or three quarter inch screws. On the other side of the wall is a closet in case they were too long it wouldn't be a big deal...but they didn't go through anyway. My TV I bought was not very heavy...I don't take it off the mount when I drive but it does have a lock to lock the TV in place. The mount is rock sold and so is the install, I have zero concern with it and the rough ride it will see over the years to come. The install was super easy. I bought from Amazon, I paid $40 but I see it is now down to $35....I don't know how to opt the link from Amazon app on phone so just search for this text in Amazon...
"Mounting Dream Full Motion Lockable TV Wall Mount for 17-39 Inch Flat Screen TV, RV Mount on Motor Home Camper Truck Marine Boat Earthquake Zone, Unique Quick Lock and Release in 1 Step Design MD2210"

Good luck!
