Need slide out gear

Hi. I'm Mark and just joined the forum. I have a 2006 Jayco Greyhawk
and the bedroom slide out has a stripped gear. Does anyone know where I can get a new or good used one? Lippert doesn't have them anymore. It has 21 teeth. Thanks

Welcome to the group Mark - You will likely get a better response to your issue if you post it in the correct forum. There is a forum here dedicated to motorhomes / Tech / Maintenance and repair etc. that all have lot more traction than the welcome section. It would also help if you could identify the type of slide you have.

One of the moderators will likely see this and move it for you but if you want a quicker response, post it again in the other section

Hopefully one of the mods will see it an move it for you. With that said someone on another forum contacted a machine shop and they were able to modify a 21 tooth gear. Apparently that system was a DEWALD not even a POWER GEAR slide, but a company they bought out and then POWER GEAR was sold to LIPPERT.

I took our shaft and gear assembly to our local machine shop.. They got a gear with the right teeth but was too wide.. They machined it down and put it on the shaft. All I had to do was reinstall.

This specific gear is no longer made. If this is the exact thing that you need then you might still be able to find it somewhere as it went NLA (no longer available) earlier this year. If you need a different gear then you might be able to find it in this link. 7

Yea, saw that too, but I've called sites that have mentioned "OUT OF STOCK" on their web sites before, and found they have the part I needed under a new name. When asked why it was shown as "OUT OF STOCK", they told me they forgot to update their web page.

not sure where you are physically located, but you can google 'rv graveyard near me' and see if you can find a rv around your age with the slides. I think it would end up being more expensive than a machine shop though, even if they were cutting mostly from scratch.
