No play in steering wheel on mine. I have had it aligned and installed a Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer.

When we test drove a 2014 Greyhawk 31FK - yes. Felt like I was "aiming" or tacking in a sailboat.

Our 2016 31FK - nope. Feels like driving a van.

I have a 2009 31 SS Greyhawk I bought mine used and it was a handful to drive untill I adjusted the rear Helwig springs, new stabilizer bars front and rear, new shocks and steering damper replaced, now you can drive with one hand not two white knuckled.and the Michelin's on it were falling apart at 24k.

It may help to indicate what year and model unit you are driving. Only Rv I ever had with a lot of play had a worn steering gear box.

I feel a sway at about 70...but nothing bad less than that.
New tires make a big difference

After alignment, safe-t-steer steering stabilizer, front/rear sway bars and a trac bar.... nope... it drive very well.

Before that... I thought I was going to wear the steering wheel out.

My 2008 31SS E450 drove great. Usually once I went over 60 the DW would start yelling to slow down though!

Our pickup would do that when we had a heavy camper in the bed...

I'd say you're riding heavy in the back of the rig, and higher speeds are 'lifting' the front a bit, which disconnects your front tires a little from the road.

If re-packing doesn't help getting more weight up front, you might want to look at some other leveling support... but I'm not sure what all that would entail (air bags would do it for the pickup).
