For the first outing, going to a local campground and having a RV vet are the best advice you can get. One thing that you also need to consider before you buy is where you are going to store everything in the MH. Inside the MH, besides your clothes, you will need to store your food, cooking and cleaning items, towels and linens--basically anything you'd need for a very small apartment. Outside storage is needed for basic MH needs such as several water hoses, electrical cords, and sewage lines. Not everything at a campground will be conveniently located, and two of something may be needed to reach the faucets, outlets, or dump. Are you going to have a cover for the front windows? And then there's the levelers. For a lot of reasons, you want the MH parked on-level. I don't believe the Redhawk has automatic levelers, and even if it does, for some situations you will want something to help you level the MH. Blocks of wood (old school) or hard plastic ramps are used, and must be stored somewhere. Then finally there's what I call recreational items. Do you fish, golf, or want to carry any other sports equipment? What about lawn chairs or an outside rug, or other outdoors equipment, including cooking? The point is, you need to make sure that the MH you choose can store what you need.

"Nervous" is good.
It makes you stop and think, or look at things twice, or do more research and ask people.

Be nervous, be fussy, be choosy. You're making a big investment, in both money and in your family's pleasure. So go and be a pain at the dealership.. ask to see it all working. Test drive, compare, talk to other owners, if you can.
(Wander the local campgrounds, if you see somebody sat outside a similar model to the ones you're looking at, go and ask. Most people are only to happy to chew your ear off about their likes and dislikes, and flattered that you asked.

Take your time, and look forward to the moment when you light the campfire and sit back, outside your new purchase, with a sigh!
