New Greyhawk 30z

Was supposed to arrive around now, not going to arrive till end of August. Delay because of ongoing chip shortage. Dealer ordered October. Not a happy, unable to go camper..

I feel for you. As a fellow 30Z owner in Ontario Canada, our parks are just opening up from COVID shut down. Went to start the rig last week, someone stole the catalytic Converter. Backordered from Ford, they can't give me any idea when one will be available.

Sorry to hear about the delay. Maybe this will serve as a wake up call to U.S. manufacturers to have multiple sources for critical components.

I haven’t had to cancel any plans, I was unsure when it would arrive so I didn’t make any. Retired so I am very flexible. I have a CRV all ready to tow. I also have a Wrangler that is not ready, so I think I will order parts and have a project to do while I wait, looks like time for more than one project. Need to get up to Ontario and visit a cousin in Karnataka. Thanks for the sympathy.

Interesting. I ordered my 30z October 31st and picked it up on March 3rd. I must have got in right before the chip shortage.

That is interesting. This one ordered 10/13, requested delivery 11/26. Who knows, new expectations are end of Aug.

Do you know if you are going to get a 2022 spec'd model due to the delay or did they already mostly build it to 2021 specs and are just waiting on some parts?

The order form shows the chassis as 2021, unit is being sold as a 2022. Whether it has changes I don’t know. Some of the changes that I am aware of for he 22’s are, different TV, winegard 2 antenna, 190 watt solar with a dual controller, 2 house batteries standard, safety net for overhead bunk, dual ac option with 13.5k btu with energy management system. And new standard graphics. I thought that 30z was getting a longer awning, we will see.

Maybe part of the delay is the decor. Seems everyone is buying the farmhouse style. My wife and I didn't like that at all, so we went with the darker cabinets, Huntington, I think. So far, it's been a great rig, except for the mis-matched baggage door. They must have ran out of the slam latches so we have one door that has the thumb locks. A new slam latch door is on order.

Bummer

I searched online a lot, then hit 4 major dealers in PHX,so saw a lot of brands and models
Jayco was a top selection

Then saw the RV sale at Cardinals Stadium, mike from my house.
Ended up Putting a deposit on an Entegra 25r that day, never regretted it in 3 yrs
Got a Lost leader Sale Rig on the 1st day, $10k less than one right next to it, exact same model and options

I can't imagine ordering a rig and waiting 6+ months to get it....

No freaking way...lol

Any news? Dealer told me on 10/26 that they were invoiced by Entegra which usually means that is it built and ready to be shipped to them (his words). Dealer also told me it might be missing the leveling jacks and solar that I ordered, and they would install it if it was missing.

But, here I am 3 weeks later and dealer still doesn't know where the coach is.

New Greyhawk 30z

I spoke to a regional sales person on 11/7/21 regarding our Greyhawk 29 MVP we ordered 03/01/21 that dealer said factory informed them is supposed to be ready to ship 11/2021. Dealer said they have several units that are at least 2-3 weeks late.

Regional sales person said our unit is still on schedule including the painting for 11/30/21. So we expect the dealer to receive unit 2-3 weeks after its completed. Apparently even the RV industry is having delivery issues.

I would bet Money that the Regional person does not know anything about your RV. And they are only trying to make you feel like they care about your problem. When in reality they are giving you lip service…..But this only my opinion from my experience with Regional factory people…….

No 30z yet... Last word from dealer, was that unit was finished 10/24, this was on 10/29. Said it should be arriving any time. Have not heard from dealer since the 10/29 call that I made to them. Might be here for Christmas, not holding my breath.

Time will tell. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with the guy while he was on the computer checking the status of our order. We discussed potential warranty work and his opinions and suggestions surprised me. He knew things about my order that I hadn’t told him so I think he was being up front and honest. Again, time will tell.

I did read (somewhere) that one of, if not THE largest RV delivery company closed up after there were no new RVs being made for such a long time. It's a tough job to have, and may be exacerbated by the lack of drivers with trucks in the remaining delivery companies, and overwhelming call to deliver everyone's units. Just thinking out loud.

30z has arrived. Received call Monday, dealer has it and was in the process of getting it cleaned up from delivery drive. Their inspection to follow. I will go do PDI and pick it up after the first of December. Only items noted so far, SS wheel covers in place of aluminum wheels that were on build sheet. Windshield shade and solar panel are there that were not on build sheet. I am across the state, so as yet have not seen it.
