New Owner Storage Question

On our previous 5th wheel we used a battery tender to maintain the trailer's single battery. Should we do the same for our Seneca (understanding it has multiple batteries) or can we reduce the 50 amp power cord to 15 amp and maintain the batteries with the converter?

You have the Smart Converter in the SENECA which is set up to keep the house and chassis batteries charged and it is designed not to overcharge. When we had the 08 SENECA it was plugged in 24/7 365 and the house batteries needed very little water over a 6 year period. The chassis batteries were maint free and never lost their charge either and for the first two years it sat over the winter since the "boss" was still working. Just plug it in and you'll be fine.

Agree with Grumpy - we leave ours plugged in almost all the time. Plugging it into a 15 or 20 amp house plug is fine for charging, just be careful about turning on high-draw devices like a/c, microwave, etc - it is easy to trip a breaker.
