Loveseat frame is about 2" per side smaller than sofa bolt pattern that was removed

OK I understand, my recliners' frame is also smaller then the original 4 bolt pattern as well. What kind of fasteners did you use to fasten your loveseat's frame to the plywood base? Also did you mount the plywood all the way to the wall and drill holes for the seatbelt brackets? Also does your loveseat frame hang over the front of the slide slightly? Mine will hangover about 3" so my plywood will need to hang over by the same.
Thanks for your help.

Carriage bolt and lock nut. No we stopped short of seatbelts. Ours went over an inch. We pushed it back and reclined many times until we got as close to walk as possible.

dgantz, I finally got it done! I thought I would attach a picture of my RecPro recliners installed. Using your instructions, I think it turn out very good. I decided to add some black vinyl to the plywood to hide the plywood as much as possible. I also decided to add the side window valances by cutting off 6 inches and re-fastening them to the top valance so they don't interfere with reclining. Thanks for your help!

Butch C,
I have the same 2016 29MV. Your installation of the recliners looks terrific. I would like to also install recliners. Do you have any other tips to add to what you have already said?

Installed the Recpro Recliners in my 31DS. So much better than the uncomfortable jackknife sofa. Like others I bolted it to plywood and used the 4 original mounting holes for the jackknife. Also shortend the side valance's up 3 inches.

Tom463219. Thanks for the post and picture. Just ordered sample color swatches from Recpro. I also have a Greyhawk31DS. We appear to have the same interior color scheme. How well does your new sofa match up to the original? My wife and I are really looking forward to comfortable seating. Will follow your installation.

The color of the sofa is "toffee". It matches the original interior color pretty good. In my photo you can't go by the color of the passenger seat, that has a cover on it.

Tom - curious about the seat covers. I've been searching for some and having a hard time finding a good fitting set. Can you point me to where you got yours?
Thanks - Greg

Got them at Amazon. Had them on 2 years now. Not the nicest looking, but they protect the seats well.

To tom463219. Thank you. I have installed the RecPro Charles 58" in Toffee. I too have a Greyhawk31ds and the fit is perfect. So much more comfortable than the J-Sofa. I mounted the RecPro to a piece of 1/2" plywood using carriage bolts and bolted that assembly to the floor using the existing bolts for the J-Sofa just as you suggested. The valances in my opinion had enough clearance so I left them as they were. I will be installing the end piece of the J-Sofa as a finishing touch. I just sat it there for the picture. The coloring is just slightly different. It covers the area where the seat belts are. My wife and I are very pleased with this modification.

Installation looks great! I like the end piece install, I sold my old sofa, so I don't have that piece. Great Job.

Butch....excellent install of your RecPro recliners. I'm considering the very same thing. How did you remove the window valence? I see the lower screws, but how is the top connected? Also, were you able to sell the original sofa bed? And, oh, how does that come out...in parts or all together?

Bought this guy from wayfair. Also mounted it to 1/2" plywood using the jackknife bolts. I plan to build a small cabinet/table for the dinette side.

Yes. They fully recline. Night and day difference to J-Sofa.
