Newbie tire question

HI all,
We just bought a 2016 Melbourne 24k. 12,000 miles on it.

I read on this site that tire age is more important than miles.
Also read to look for an oval on the inside of the tire for a 4 digit number.

Got down there today, saw nothing that would make me believe it was date related.

LT 215/85R 16
115/112 Q

Any thoughts would be helpful,

The number in the oval is the DOT code. First two digits are the week of manufacture. The second two are the year.

So a DOT code of 1520 is the 15th week of the year of 2020.

Look for the letters “DOT”. To the right should be numbers. There may be some numbers and a space then the date code.

David, you should also consider a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). I wouldn't travel without one.
