NO! Not doing it........

.... Yet!

I am seeing all these posts on JOF saying they are putting their rigs away for the winter - And we are not falling for it yet.

Yes, I had a ton of leaves fall from the trees today, but am holding out for another couple of weeks in case we decide to TAKE OFF and GO somewhere.

I'm one of them. Unfortunately the fairgrounds tells me what day and time to put it in. We took the latest option available. I would like to build a machine shed on the side of the garage, to be able to extend the season.

We've always camped year round until last year when we bought our Jayflight Bungalow. We leave it at our seasonal site, which is not open in the winter. If it was, we'd certainly use it. Maybe one day we'll get a truck large enough to tow the TT so we can camp year 'round again.

Good for you Steve. Don’t give In to peer pressure. I too read of many people calling it a season. What is this “winterising” thing they speak of? Lol.

We are just getting to where we can consider camping in Florida. This week was the first bearable weather since we got back.

To us, winterizing means taking shorts out and putting long pants in the RV

We're getting closer to our RV season. It's winterized and waiting until after Xmas when we head south. We don't use it during the summer.

Winterizing and dewinterizing is so easy that does not factor into our outings. It helps to be retired
The unit is parked here at home and plugged in.. It will be remaining here for three months.. ( somewhat cause there isn't any place open for camping that is plowed here!) save for the CG next door..

Then we dig it out and go forth South.. and return a month later and then West then South again.. There are lots of seasons.

Working stiffs have a different schedule and we have been through that. Keep a stiff upper lip!

We returned from a two-month trip on Halloween day - sad time - we had to winterize immediately. We used our motorhome a total of 4 months this year (not all at the same time) and the same in 2017. We can never get enough; but once we reach the end of October, we're doomed! You'd think we'd become snowbirds, but we do just the opposite: we begin in March and end on October 31st. How sick is that!

Haven't lived in a winterize climate in 51 years, gets cold here in the desert but just got to be careful. We are heading out the day after Turkey day across the southern US to Florida and back home to the desert the day after Christmas. We use the rig all year.

I hadn't planned on it yet, but the a couple of sub freezing nights were approaching. Of course next week I have to undo my work for a one night trip.

Not retired yet unlike some you out there...lol Just back from last camping weekend. Camped 18 different weekends in 2018 ranging from 2 to 4 nights for a total of 43 nights. Loved every experience and can't wait to go full time...

If winter holds we will be using it for a family member coming for 2 weeks during the Xmas holiday. Last year it was negative 20 so sleeping in it was not a factor and made for a very crowded house. Hoping it holds until January. Otherwise winterized and covered. Sigh. Staring at a cover RV. Sad face. Is it June yet?
