Noise, Rattle Grewhawk Sport

Just picked up 28 QB Greyhawk Sport and boy, the interior rattling (windows, appliances, cabinetry etc...) makes me feel like I'm riding a school bus. Is this just normal stuff for a Class C? Will the rattling etc... die down after being broken in? This is our first MH- thanks

I agree with you on the microwave, we just put paper towels between the glass tray and take out the steel rack. Also something that my lady and myself never really took into consideration was the locking bars that go on the slides and those things took out a lot of the traveling noise.

Our Jayco rattles much less than our previous Fleetwood. I think they loosen up after time a develop more rattles as they go. Finding the easy kill rattles such as the pans, coffee cups, catchall drawers full of junk and microwave goes a long way to reducing the majority of it.

I think my rattle is mostly the oven door. Not sure how to remedy that without removing the door for travel, but not sure it's worth the hassle. Jayco Greyhawk 31SS.

Also new to Class C here with Jayco 31SS. Most of my rattle seems to come from the stove and I believe the oven door. Closing a towel in the door when I travel helped a little and hoping I'll get used ot the rest.

Welcome to owning a motorhome. I guess you get to know your coach and get to know what is normal and what you can control over time. Doors, latches, racks, stuff you have addded, chasis, etc. You will never take the squeeks and rattles totally out, but you will learn where they are coming from and what you can do to lessen it.. Some tips above a good ones. Insulate hard surfaces from each other using towels, etc. Use sticky foam tape for some built in items that may bug you.

Just try and keep the noises you totally have control over from happening...like trees scraping across the top or scraping the tanks across an incline, etc...
