Norcold fridge fires

Hello All,
Just read a thread on the IRV2 sight about all the fires caused by the Norcold 1200 series fridges. I went out and checked our model #, it is a Norcold N841IM. Does anyone know if this too is a timebomb waiting to go off? If so, what have others re-worked or re-placed this unit with?
Thanks

Our first two RVs had the Norcold 1200 series and there were about 3 recalls performed on each over the course of two years. In most cases a mobile tech came to our storage location and performed the recall fix with no cost to us.
The N841IM never gave us any indication of problems for the three years we owned one. Our newest, a Norcold N3000 series is also working just fine.

We always made sure to register our ownership with the RV builder for any affiliated recall notifications.

Norcold did have an issue which resulted in a recall on fridges manufactured between 1997 & 2010. You may be reading a bit of history but if your rig falls into those early years, search out the recall notice.

Thanks Stingray,
I checked the serial number and it appeared to fall in the recall range. I contacted Norcold ( wait time only a minute or two) and they told me there was no recall for our model's serial number. Even though there was no actual re-call does the danger of fire still exist to an unsafe level?
