Not the best start to a weekend

When that little voice say's not sure about this and you don't listen. Thank goodness for cell phones we were in the Rockies about 70 miles from nearest town, got a hold of an oil field company and got her out with a winch truck. Took about five hours of putting blocks under the jacks and as they sank in start over building the height up and slowly getting logs under the tires, then she pulled out pretty easy. Ironically we were only twenty feet off the packed site when she sank. Winched trailer sideways towed it out, then winched back the coach all with no damage. Eight days of rain before we went out definitely softened up our site. I learned I'm am not going out if the percentage of rain is higher than the percent of sunshine this was a one and done episode never to be repeated.

DANG! Glad you got it out safely. There's been a lot of campgrounds suffering from too much rain. Our first time out, the fire ring at our site was completely under water. then the day before we were to leave, a real frog-floater came down for most of the day. The grounds maintenance workers were busy filling tire tracks, some 8" deep.

This is what I was worried about getting my trailer out of storage at the KOA in Hinton, Alberta last week. It had been sitting there since last August, and it's rained each day. I didn't want to do it with mine, so it took the park's Ford F-150 and a Chevy dually to get it out. I'm in St. Albert now, and it's rained each day, and all the campgrounds are soft. Luckily I'm on a gravel site.

I'd probably rather get stuck and have to be pulled then break something, however!
