Odyssey Water Filter issue

I just purchased a 2019 Odyssey 24B, which is similar to the Redhawk 24B. I assume that both models, since they are the same floor plan, would have the same issue.

I was going through the winterizing checklist and went to check the water filter. From my walk through, I knew is was in the back, under one of the drawers, After removing the grille I located under the bottom, drivers side, drawer. I tried to access it by removing the drawer but was unable to do so, because the bed platform in the slide was in the way. I tried to get to it from the grille but unless you have gorilla arms, you can only access one of the turn off valves and are unable to reach the other valve nor turn the canister. I talked to the dealership tech support and he said that he has had several recent complaints. He was going to contact Entegra to see how this can be resolved. He will then call me back.

Luckily, it turns out, the filter had never been installed, so was able to complete winterizing with no problems.

Wondering if there are any 24B owners out there who have run across this problem and if have had any resolution for this.

We don't have a 24B, but a similarly inconvenient filter setup. I removed the whole thing and made a short line to go in it's place. We use an external in line filter anyway. You can get a couple of fittings and the tubing and clamps at any hardware store for less than ten dollars.

X2...I did exactly what Mike described. Removed the complete filter. It was a terrible location under the bathroom sink and you would have to stand on your head to remove and replace that filter. Also, those filters were not cheap.

I just removed it and replaced with a filter that attaches to your outside water hose. That filter can be bought at walmart and it easy to replace. Problem solved.
