Sorry about your pain Cajun. It looks like a new door and a little cosmetic on that front area should make it like new. I think that bollard snuck up on you. Insurance take care of it hopefully.

That sucks! I dearly hate blind spots. The bigger the headache the bigger the pill. The bigger the camper the bigger the bill. Thankfully we have insurance! Sorry to see this happened to you. Big inconvenience [emoji853]

Tapatalk didn't send all my quote. Living in it full time. Wondering it anyone knows if I can get the front 2 doors already painted from Jayco?

Oh that really sucks. So sorry that happened to you. And I can only imagine how bad you feel. Stuff does happen and it could've been worse, but still.
Good luck on a speedy and painless repair.

It will probably be difficult since each unit is custom painted. I also know the paint shop.is the one bump in production since they are so.busy.

Although I could be wrong, it appears that the panel directly in front of the 2nd door MAY be pushed forward and bowed, If it were me I would get the doors unpainted if they can not be obtained painted in an short time and install them. Paint is only cosmetic and can be done at any time,

If you are near Indiana and Jayco, there is a body shop that Jayco recommended when my Greyhawk was damaged in an accident. They did the repairs and got parts from Jayco. Maybe they could order the doors and paint them per Jayco specs. Then you could show up and they could install them. Nice people to deal with.
Here is Mark's email: Mark@SSAutoWAKY.com
They are located in Wakarusa, Indiana, right next to Middlebury.
They arranged for my Greyhawk to be transported from Long Island to Indiana and negotiated with the insurance company. I was extremely pleased with their work and service.

Oh man, I know how much you hated to see that. You definitely have my sympathies. I had my $2,000 turning blunder last Thanksgiving. I hope yours fixes without too much headache.

That's why I'm always looking for retread fragments on the interstate. They can cause excessive damage to basement doors as well. Thin sheet metal with custom paint. OUCH!! It's why we have insurance.

You have our sympathy, it's never fun when things go bad!!!! It's so easy to forget how big these units are because they drive so nice and easy. Thanks for posting and the reminder of what can happen so easily.

Eeegad! Sorry to see that happen. Just feel bad for a day or two; get the fixing process arranged and started; then don't worry about it and don't look back. Chalk it up to an honest mistake. Gettir back on the road and Happy Trails!

I hate that happened. Several years ago my aunt backed her 40 footer in between two big rigs at a truck stop, just trying to catch a little free over nighter. Little did she know at the moment, she had destroyed two cargo doors and put at least a 15 foot gash in the laminated side wall. The doors were a quick fix but the sidewall finished the trip with a duct tape repair. I feel your pain on this one. It happens. You can't always hear when things are going wrong. I plowed my garage door with my 36' class A and never heard it.

We have the same color Seneca 37FS and lost the water closet sewer hook up door, because of the skin coming loose on the front edge. All warranty work and taken care of by MH2GO of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Metal Works Restorations of Coopersville, Michigan. They did a great job and you can't even see any sign of damage.

This happened in Florida in December, 2015 and we did not get it repaired until we were back in the Midwest in March, 2016. Wasn't going to head north, because of a little incident. Lots of foil covered foam, black paint and duct tape for 3 months. Biggest problem you are going to have is that parts have to be made, they are not just sitting on a shelf somewhere. I think it took about 6 weeks for all the parts to be gathered. Everything was on hand before we took unit to the body shop. They had it back to us in a week. If there is no repair or paint needed on parts that are not just bolt ons, like above the molding, it might be able to be done with a couple of day visits.

Sounds awful, looks bad. 2 years from now it will all be a "Sea Story" and just another experience. Enjoy life, put it in perspective, all problems with mechanical things can be resolved or replaced, work to make all problems small and manageable in your mind.

We wish you the best.

No one ever knows the names of those things until you hit one. When I was a teen, I tried to go up a very icy very steep hill in a Triumph Spitfire. I got half way up, could not go further, then it slid back down the hill in reverse picking up more speed every second. A guy with a house at the bottom of the hill was ready for guys like me. He had bollards all around it. I hit one dead center and it smashed the back of the Triump all the way to the rear window. Never forgot the name bollard after that.
