When our Greyhawk was brand new, the Onan's fuel pump failed with about 5 hours on it. Driving to our first camping trip, my wife tired to re-heat lunch for the kids in the microwave while I was driving. The generator started right up, but died about 30 seconds after starting the microwave. Tried to re-start and it wouldn't. The error codes indicated it needed to be serviced. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the fuel pump on a brand new generator.
One thing that wasn't mentioned in this thread, if the generator struggles to start, it may just be that the coach battery needs to be charged. If this is the case, fire up the engine and it will assist in starting the generator. If we hadn't used the RV for a few months, I would have to fire up the engine to get the generator started to exercise it.
