One piece front cap

Jayco dealers like to brag about the one piece seamless front cap. Is that really a big deal? Is there as much leaking going on in front caps as Jayco dealers suggest?

Less seams = less possible leaks = more enjoyable RVing!

Our prior Class C had the traditional fiberglass front cap - that covered only the forward 6-8 inches of the cab-over. Water still leaked in the seams where the side met the bottom. It required maintenance almost every year, and was usually found when there was moisture in the cab-over.

Now the Seneca has less insulation between the roof and the outside cap, but there is some in there - that is the only down side we see.

It was a MAJOR factor in my decision to purchase a Grayhawk. Both my dad and my FIL had leaks in their cab-overs. Granted, they were older rigs, and somewhat suffered from a lack of preventative maintenance, but still...

Whether leaky cab-overs are still as much a problem as they have been in the past, I still think the one-piece cap design is a better one overall.

This our 4th Class C and all previous Cs developed a leak at side wall seam to
cap and at Windows.
Our Grayhawk with no window and less seams was a major buying factor.
Also the fiberglass roof!!
