Outer tire valve stem?

For some reason, I can't get an air hose into the outer, rear tire valve stem. Nothing fits. The inner tire has an extension, but the outer tire valve stem faces inward. What am I doing wrong? I brought it to the tire place and they had to take the hubcap off to fit theirs in. THANKS!Click image for larger version

Go to an auto parts store and explain your situation. There are some 2-way nozzles with angled heads. You can push them straight on the valve if it's sticking out (like your car), or pull it back toward the valve when it faces inward. Also, ask them about extensions. None of the items you need are expensive.

Something like this is what I use. It is a standard truck air chuck.

Pull the trim ring off if you have not while doing this, it makes it a little easier.

Redhawk, I know this post is a little late, but I learned something since you started the thread. If your wheels are covered by Dicor Fastliners, (and I think they are)they snap on and off like hub caps. Which is what they are. They come equipped with spring loaded clips on the outer rim.

The valve stem is a lot easier to get at with the wheel covers off.

I ordered a set today. Did you put any type of sealer on the threads? I don't have a leak now and don't want to create one.
