We have always just lashed to the rear bumper. I have seen people get a very large piece of pvc pipe the ones they use for french drains they have the pre-drilled holes in them and then they mount it to their rear bumper and the carpet once rolled up slides right in and the holes helps drain the moister in the rug. Capped at both ends.

Fold it and tie it to your rear bumper. I use twine.

If I get my outdoor rug wet and dirty I strap it to the roof ladder until I can dry it out or clean it. I do the same with my small outdoor mat we wipe our feet on outside, only I fold it and then wedge it between the rear bumper.

Wouldn’t want to hose my stuff down at the dump station, unless there is a very long hose. And even then...

I bought a plastic tote that is flat enough to fit in the storage compartment, place the wet rug in it close the lid and wash it when I get home.

We have a 8x20 which accordion pleats and fits in a storage bag, or even a garbage bag and fits behind the drivers seat. I have a sticky arrow with CARPET printed on it that I stick over the slide control to assure I remember to remove the bag before I extend the slide.

Ours came with bag also. If it's wet we put in the bag and put it in the basement. We pull it out on the next stop and let it dry and sweep it off (or at home if that is where we are headed).

We got a really nice poly mat for use outside of the last TT. After a few outings, decided it was too much of a PITA to mess with (and really slowed down our departure routines).

Haven’t used it in almost a year, and now enjoying the extra storage space and time without it.

“Outdoors” mean outdoors. Just my $.02.

On our previous Class C, I mounted two sections of pvc, one for the sewer hose and one for the rug, with screw off caps on each end. Both have drain holes. Picture attached. Text 614.496.5810 w questions.
