Pin Hole Leak Black Water Tank

Found a small pin hole leak on the curved section of my black water tank. What are some of best options to repair. Called local dealer and he recommended a patch that was activated by UV light. I was thinking along the lines of a JB Weld plastic gas tank repair. Thanks

Eternabond roof tape... clean the area then place the tape over it. Many forums recommend this

If the hole is small enough, drill and tap to 1/4-20 and install a pan-head nylon screw with some sealant on the threads.

It'll give you 10 years.

IF you can find genuine stainless. I wouldn't trust anything from Lowest or Home Despot.

In my opinion, Black Water is best dealt with ONCE! Do the job properly.

JB Waterweld. I've seen this stuff plug a small hole in a car radiator and last for years. I'd be inclined to try this first before drilling holes and making a bigger hole.

Hole

I first thought about taping a new hole but the hole I have now, is small, only a small drop forms every couple of minutes. Did not want to make a bigger one. I went with the JB Weld and so far so good. Waiting to see what happens with the cold weather Thanks

Covering the repair with Eternabond still may help it hold up over time.

I've used "Mighty Sealer" flexible rubber coating sealant. https://www.mightysealer.com/?mid=2830260. Costco sells at at times. I've had good results. That's my 2 cents......
