Plugging into a 36 KVA/ 300 Amp Generator Distro panel

I'm doing an outdoor event in a local park with generated power from a large mobile generator. There is a distro panel that provides plugs for 10, 20 and 30 amps. Will i do any damage to my RV by plugging into this generator? I will need a/c and outlets for computer and printing. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Unless the output voltage is 220, you'll be fine. The only generators that I don't trust are those crappy Chinese ones where both voltage and frequency is not guaranteed. As far as the output current, pick any plug. The only thing that's critical is the output voltage. Even if the AC frequency is off a bit, it wont matter to your electronic components because they all go through their own transformer and the voltage get rectified to DC.

Industrial generator

You may find that the 30 amp uses a " twist lock plug " but adapters are readily available - just make sure to verify that it is 110 & not 220 volts
We use these several times a year without any problems

If you don't already have/use an EMS (Electrical Management System) this might be the time to strongly consider one. Campground power can sometimes be unreliable, not sure how steady a large mobile generator might be with with multiple users coming and going from the system.

Hi Robby. Yes if the attachment I use is a valid EMS/surge (lights turn blue if electric is ok). So assuming that would help any surges or uneven power frim multiple users right?

It should. My Progressive Industries model will absorb surges, and also cut out if the voltage is too high or too low either of which is harmful. And it will not allow the power to connect to the system if it senses problems with how the campground power post is wired.

If yours does these things you will be as protected as you can be.

Looking at its description online it does indeed cut out if voltage is too high or low and reconnects (after a built-in delay) when voltage normalizes. It also has protection regarding miswired outlets and surges.

You should be good to go, knowing you are protected way better than someone plugging in with nothing at all!
