Arrow Power Awning fabric replacement

Anyone out there replace the fabric on their power awning themselves?

I know that with the manual awning and the spring tension in the rolling mechanism, it can be tricky to install new fabric. But I am assuming that on the power awnings, there is no spring tension, so it should just be a matter of sliding the two edges into the slots on the rollup tube and the roof... right?

Any advice appreciated.

Joe

You will have the pressure from the "hydraulic shocks" pushing the arms out, so that may be an issue. If I remember correctly they are 85 lbs.
