My Sunseeker had a twist lock connection on the outside. I rather liked that way.

Sounds like a good idea especially when trying to pull a wet muddy cord thru the hole, what were part numbers used? I looked at a few twist lock plugs in the past but seem not up to job.

It came that way from Forest River. An outside Furrion twist lock male end on the side of the coach, and a 30 foot cable with a 90 degree twist lock female end to connect to the coach.

We have a 50 amp twist lock marine type power cord connection. It has a collar to screw down to hold it tight. However, try as I might, it does not screw down enough to hold the connection tight. I have heard these loose connections cause significant problems enough that it will melt the wires on both ends. My buddy has an eagle 5th wheel and we could smell something electrical inside the rig. He took it too the shop and it was melting the wires all the way to the inverter. He avoided a big disaster. Anyone else had experience with this? I am getting concerned about my rig now as it is a 2014 as was his.

This is from boating experience, the plastic screw rings do wear out and are easy to replace. As to the plug itself I've never had a problem, just the locking ring.
